Great post about fixing images uploads if they don’t work in WordPress. I had this problem recently when I tried to upload some images for a blog post and all I got was the broken image link. I looked at the media section of the setting to no avail.
The trick is to make sure that you have the right location in the miscellaneous section and that that folder is set to 777 permissions (can be done through FTP).
